On Friday, the 17th, the weather across the country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with rain forecast for the Chungcheong region, the southern areas, and Jeju Island.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the Chungcheong and southern regions, as well as Jeju Island, will be affected by a low-pressure system moving from near Shanghai, China, toward the southern seas off Jeju. Meanwhile, the metropolitan area and Gangwon Province will be on the edge of a high-pressure system over the East Sea. The expected precipitation by region is less than 5mm for the Chungcheong region, 20 to 60mm for the Jeolla region, 20 to 60mm for the Gyeongsang region, and 30 to 100mm for Jeju Island.

원본보기 아이콘Morning lows are forecast to range from 6 to 14 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs from 17 to 21 degrees Celsius. For the time being, temperatures will be higher than the seasonal averages (3 to 11 degrees Celsius for lows, 16 to 22 degrees Celsius for highs). The predicted daytime highs in major cities are as follows: Seoul 20 degrees, Incheon 19 degrees, Chuncheon 21 degrees, Gangneung 19 degrees, Daejeon 21 degrees, Daegu 20 degrees, Gwangju 19 degrees, Busan 19 degrees, and Jeju 20 degrees.
Fine dust levels are expected to range from "good" to "moderate" across all regions.
