On April 16, the city signed a "business agreement for priority securing of urea water" with Changwoo Co., Ltd., a local urea water manufacturer, at the Dasulbang in city hall. Through this agreement, a public-private cooperation system was established to prepare for potential supply and demand crises involving urea water.

This agreement was initiated in response to recent instability in domestic and international urea supplies. Its primary aim is to secure local supply volumes in advance and prevent disruptions in the operation of vehicles for both citizens and public institutions.

Under the agreement, Changwoo Co., Ltd. will prioritize the allocation of local supply volumes to Siheung City through close consultation in the event of a supply and demand crisis for urea water. The city plans to continuously share updates on urea water supply trends and further strengthen its response system through additional consultations if necessary.

Yang Soonpil, Director of the Environmental Bureau, stated, "Urea water is essential for operating diesel vehicles, and stable supply management is of utmost importance. Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we will strengthen public-private cooperation and actively respond to minimize inconvenience to citizens in any supply crisis."

Meanwhile, the city plans to continue closely monitoring trends in the urea water market and expand cooperation with relevant organizations and companies to maintain a stable supply base going forward.
