After U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a second armistice meeting with Iran could take place this weekend, all three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher on April 16 (local time).
On this day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended up 0.24% from the previous trading day. The S&P 500 index, which tracks large-cap stocks, rose by 0.26%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq index climbed by 0.36% to close the session.
