Kim Hanjung, Democratic Party's mayoral candidate for Namyangju City, announced on the 16th that he will "be the first in Namyangju to properly implement" the 8th project of the Democratic Party's 'Perfect Fit Pledge Project,' titled 'Apartment Management Fee Blind Spot ZERO (Comprehensive Package for Reducing Apartment Management Fees).' However, residents find it difficult to understand how these fees are actually calculated. It is now time not just to declare that fees will be ‘reduced,’ but to create a structure that actually brings them down.”
He continued, “This pledge presented by the Democratic Party contains key measures for reducing maintenance fees, including: establishing a support system for small-scale multi-family housing; expanding the Multi-family Housing Management Support Center nationwide; improving the functions of K-APT; and strengthening incentives for exemplary management complexes. I, Kim Hanjung, will apply these most quickly and most strongly here in Namyangju.”
Kim particularly highlighted, “Namyangju is the optimal city for citizens to directly experience the effects of this pledge, given its unique characteristics as a region with many small- and medium-sized multi-family housing areas such as Jinjeop, Wabu, Hopyeong-Pyeongnae, and Hwado. By revising the local government’s support ordinances and providing supports such as joint purchasing and maintenance assistance, we will create tangible reductions in maintenance fees.”
In addition, Candidate Kim stated, “It is important to reflect the voices from the field,” and noted that he has been continuously listening to the difficulties faced in management by holding meetings with apartment management office directors in Namyangju.
He also added, “Rather than stopping at a formal public disclosure, we will improve the system to allow for fee comparisons by complex, and for those with abnormally high maintenance fee structures, we will conduct inspections and promote improvements. By enhancing transparency in the execution of maintenance fees, we will create a structure where citizens can directly monitor and participate.”
Candidate Kim stressed, “I will prove this with tangible results by truly lowering the maintenance fee burden that Namyangju citizens feel every month.”
