Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province is organizing a special tourism promotion event in the heart of the city, offering visitors the chance to directly experience the local attractions.
On April 16, the county announced that it will operate the "2026 Sancheong Tourism Popup Pavilion in Gwangyang" at LF Square in Gwangyang from April 18 to April 26.
This event is an on-site tourism promotion program designed to widely promote Sancheong's major tourist destinations and local agricultural specialties, while allowing visitors to see, enjoy, and experience them firsthand.
In particular, under the slogan "Let's Have Fun in Sancheong Today!", the event is structured so that families can easily and enjoyably discover Sancheong's tourist attractions and a variety of experience-based content.
At the event venue, a wide range of programs will be available, including a tourism information center, character photo zone, children's activity events, and quiz events.
At the tourism information center, visitors can learn about Sancheong's key attractions such as Donguibogam Village, Hwangmaesan Mountain, and Namsa Yedam Village. Travel brochures and tourism information will be provided. In addition, there will be a photo zone featuring Sancheong's tourism characters, "San Neomeo Chingudeul," and an SNS authentication event.
A stamp mission tour for children will also be available. Children who complete all the missions set up throughout the venue and collect all the stamps will receive a completion souvenir.
On weekends, a local farm specialty flea market will be held, with eight businesses selling Sancheong's agricultural products and processed goods. There will also be a purchase receipt authentication event.
Alongside this, at 2 p.m. on weekends, a comic magic balloon show and a tourism quiz event for family visitors will take place, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the venue.
The operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
A Sancheong County official stated, "This popup pavilion has been prepared not just as a simple tourism promotion, but as a space where people can directly experience and remember Sancheong in the city center. We hope that visitors will enjoy Sancheong's tourism, food, and experiences, feel the charm of the region, and be inspired to visit in person."
