The 120mm mortar system mounted on the Small Tactical Vehicle is the latest weapon system researched and developed by SNT Dynamics through a rapid demonstration project in cooperation with the Marine Corps and the Defense Rapid Acquisition Technology Research Institute (DRATRI). The system has already completed performance verification, including live fire testing, and is scheduled to be operationalized after a trial evaluation by the Marine Corps in the second half of this year.

This lightweight mortar system maintains the performance of existing 120mm mortar systems while offering superior mobility, enabling stable and rapid deployment on coastal sandy terrain and similar environments. Its reduced weight allows for maritime transport via hovercraft or emergency aerial transport by helicopter, making it a future core asset in key Marine Corps operations such as assault landing and coastal defense missions.

The 120mm mortar system from SNT Dynamics, recognized for its outstanding accuracy and firepower, was previously adopted as a core asset by the Republic of Korea Army in 2022 under the name "Bigyeok." The system can be applied to a variety of platforms, including small tactical vehicles, multi-purpose tactical vehicles (MPVs), and naval vessels, and is drawing attention from military officials both domestically and internationally.
