The area around Cheongnyangni Station, a key hub in northeastern Seoul, is shedding its outdated image and transforming into an emerging residential center densely populated with high-rise mixed-use complexes and branded apartment clusters. Large-scale complexes such as Lotte Castle SKY-L65 at Cheongnyangni Station, Hanyang Sujain Graciel, and Harrington Place have moved in, changing the local skyline. In addition, a large-scale branded residential town is taking shape, connecting Jeonnong-dong and Yongdu-dong.
Amid this trend, interest in new housing supply around Cheongnyangni Station continues to grow. "Cheongnyangni Station Yojin Y City," which will be built on the site of the former KT Cheongnyang branch in Cheongnyangni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, is a complex located within walking distance of Cheongnyangni Station.
The area boasts abundant infrastructure. Schools such as Hongneung Elementary School, Cheongnyang Middle School, and Jeonghwa High School are nearby, and the area offers an educational environment with major universities clustered together, including Korea University, Kyung Hee University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Residents also have convenient access to amenities such as Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, Korea University Anam Hospital, and Hongneung Neighborhood Park, all within walking distance. With a market trend favoring smaller units due to the increase in one- and two-person households, Cheongnyangni Station Yojin Y City is regarded as a rational choice.
The transportation environment is also exceptional. Cheongnyangni Station serves as a transfer hub for five subway lines, including Line 1, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, and Suin-Bundang Line, as well as KTX. Additional lines such as GTX-B and GTX-C, Myeonmok Line, and Gangbuk Cross Line are planned for the future, which is expected to further strengthen the area's status as a transportation hub for northeastern Seoul.
The complex is comprised of four basement levels and 19 above-ground floors, with a total of 155 units: 130 apartments ranging from 43 to 59 square meters of exclusive area, 25 officetel units from 65 to 84 square meters, and neighborhood commercial facilities.
During the subscription process held from March 9 to 10, the 59A type (59 square meters) recorded a competition rate of 24.50 to 1, the 52A type 12.00 to 1, the 55A type 7.00 to 1, and the 55B type 6.00 to 1.
The average pre-sale price for the 59 square meter unit is in the range of 900 million won, which compares favorably to recently built complexes under 10 years old of the same size in nearby Dongdaemun-gu, where market prices are around 1.5 billion won. Units sized 52 to 55 square meters are priced in the 700 to 800 million won range.
Eighty-four percent of all units are designed with a three-room layout, with either 3-BAY or 4-BAY structures applied depending on the type.
"Cheongnyangni Station Yojin Y City" is scheduled for move-in in March 2028, and contracts for designated units are currently being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotional center is located near Miju Samgeori in Cheongnyangni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
