Fourth "Everyone's Playground" Project Completed
Use of Recycled Materials Helps Reduce Carbon Emissions
Child welfare organization ChildFund Korea announced on April 16 that it has created an "Everyone's Playground" at Gangdong Elementary School in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, in partnership with Nike Korea.
Since 2023, ChildFund Korea and Nike Korea have worked together to establish "Everyone's Playground" spaces to promote children's right to play and expand sports culture. This space innovation project is designed to help all children enjoy sports in their daily lives, regardless of physical ability or gender. This is the fourth such project to be completed.
In particular, to address the reduction in children's physical activity caused by recent issues such as fine dust and heat waves, an indoor playground was created by combining two classrooms at Gangdong Elementary School.
The playground features eco-friendly recycled materials made from donated used shoes and clothing, which helps reduce carbon emissions and allows children to experience the value of resource circulation firsthand.
