The meeting took place at the Kaos Hotel on Yongsan-ro, Seoul, with Army Chief of Staff Kim Kyuha, Army Headquarters Personnel Chief Jang Heeyeol, and Shinhan Card President Park Changhoon in attendance.

The Army Headquarters presented a commemorative gift to Shinhan Card in appreciation of the company's ongoing efforts to provide financial and welfare services to military personnel, including the establishment of the "Areumin Library" at military bases. Both parties discussed ways to continue supporting the welfare and cultural needs of service members.

Since 2019, Shinhan Card has consistently supported the Areumin Library as part of its social contribution initiatives. To date, libraries have been opened at a total of seven military units, including the 1st Army Corps, the Capital Corps, and the 1st Infantry Division.

In particular, the libraries scheduled to open this year at the Iksan Army Non-Commissioned Officer School and the 12th Infantry Division in Inje will be designed to accommodate the needs of service members' children as cultural spaces, making them accessible for families as well.

Additionally, in August, Shinhan Card plans to expand its support for military culture and leisure by inviting around 1,000 soldiers to a magic performance and offering similar programs.

Meanwhile, Shinhan Card, in partnership with Shinhan Bank, is participating in the third phase of the Nara Sarang Card project and is issuing the "Shinhan Nara Sarang Card."

Drawing on its experience as the sole provider during the first phase of the project (2007-2015), the company explains it is able to offer differentiated services.

A 20% daily discount is applied when using the P.X (military mart) with the card, regardless of the payment amount. Considering the consumption patterns of soldiers, which often involve small and frequent payments, the card offers a monthly discount cap of up to 30,000 won on transactions under 30,000 won each, thereby enhancing benefits.

The card also offers a 20% discount at convenience stores and a 20% cashback on public transportation, along with discounts across sectors popular with people in their 20s, including telecommunications, delivery, mobility, OTT (online video services), and fashion.

A Shinhan Card representative stated, "We have strived to express our gratitude for the dedicated service of military personnel through our support for the Areumin Library," and added, "Going forward, we will continue to play a role in improving financial convenience and welfare for soldiers, including through the Nara Sarang Card, in cooperation with the military."
