On April 15 (local time), Jennie was listed in the Artist category of the "Time 100," as announced by Time magazine.

As a prominent K-pop singer, Jennie made history last year by becoming the first female K-pop solo artist to have three songs simultaneously enter the Billboard Hot 100, the main singles chart, with her solo album "Ruby."

Gracie Abrams, singer-songwriter and daughter of renowned film director J.J. Abrams, introduced Jennie in Time magazine, stating, "To put it simply, she is a star," and added, "There is magic at her core. Whether she appears on screen, in a stadium with 100,000 people, at a party, or in a backstage hallway, she draws you in just the same."

She continued, "What truly makes Jennie a star is her overwhelming presence that seems to drown out all surrounding noise-even in the quietest moments. At the same time, she possesses this presence with kindness and warmth." She added, "She is the kind of person who will hold your hands tightly."

Others named in the Artist category include Korean-American pop star Anderson .Paak, actress Dakota Johnson, and singer Luke Combs.

In the Leaders category, U.S. President Donald Trump, Pope Leo XIV, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and U.S. Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff were selected.

The Icons category includes Korean-American snowboarder Chloe Kim and Alysa Liu, who won the gold medal in the women's singles figure skating at this year's Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics.
