The scale used for achievement evaluations conducted in schools is presented as partial scores. To calculate these partial scores, schools can choose and apply either "fixed partial scores by achievement level" or "estimated partial scores by achievement level."

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education developed this material to help schools obtain valid evaluation results when calculating "estimated partial scores by achievement level," and to further support the effective operation of evaluation for learning.

The main contents include: ▲ understanding of estimated partial scores ▲ procedures and monthly operation stages for calculating estimated partial scores ▲ provision of meeting record templates that schools can use immediately, and more, all structured for practical use in schools.

In particular, the guide provides detailed instructions on linking curriculum achievement standards and students' performance levels to scores, ensuring that the estimated partial scores are calculated in line with the purpose of the achievement evaluation system.

To that end, it presents methods for entering the expected correct answer rates of the lowest-ability students at each achievement level during regular exams. For performance assessments, it outlines methods for calculating scores based on the characteristics of the lowest-ability students.

Following the development and distribution of this material, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education plans to further promote the stable settlement of achievement evaluation by training on-site support teams and operating training sessions in connection with local education support offices.

The "How to Calculate Estimated Partial Scores for High School Achievement Evaluation (Practical Edition)" material can be downloaded and used by anyone from the Secondary Education Division section of the Integrated Data Room on the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education website under News/Notices.
