The Royal Palaces and Tombs Center and the National Heritage Center will operate the program "Young Monarch, Spring at Saenggwabang" at the Saenggwabang of Gyeongbokgung Palace from April 27 to May 3.

This program is designed to emotionally revisit the story of King Danjong, the sixth monarch of the Joseon Dynasty. Centered on a culinary experience, it features dishes such as rice porridge made with osuri (a wild vegetable used in the diet of King Danjong during his exile) and royal desserts.

The 70-minute program is divided into four stages: "Meeting Danjong," where experts guide participants through the life and exile of King Danjong; "Being with Danjong," in which participants enjoy osuri rice porridge and royal desserts; "Empathizing with Danjong," which includes poetry recitation and writing messages on wooden plaques to hang; and "Returning to Everyday Life," where participants regain a sense of peace amid the atmosphere of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
