Through this agreement, Pyeongtaek City will attract a large number of companies in key strategic industries such as future mobility and semiconductors, accelerating the revitalization of the local economy and the creation of new jobs.

Pyeongtaek City secured a total of 64 billion won in corporate investments through this agreement. The production facilities to be built on approximately 43,000 square meters of land in the Poseung district are expected to further solidify the region's industrial landscape.

This will lead to the creation of 107 new jobs, and the Pyeongtaek Poseung district aims to establish an advanced manufacturing industry cluster by concentrating companies specializing in automotive parts, chemicals, and semiconductor materials.

Wangseong Innotech Co., Ltd. (CEO Wang Seongho), one of the companies signing the agreement, manufactures interior and exterior automotive parts. The company possesses precision manufacturing capabilities based on molding and injection technologies and, as a designated leader in the energy sector, is at the forefront of developing core technologies in the future mobility industry.

Gwangseok International Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Gyusik) is a company specializing in precision chemicals and manufacturing. It produces 'neutral ink backflow preventers,' a core material for writing instruments, and leverages its outstanding quality and technological prowess to target markets in China, India, Europe, and South America in this field.

Joyang Metal Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Cheolwoon), which will make additional investments through this agreement, has expanded its business from distributing aluminum materials to manufacturing automotive parts, continuing its growth trajectory. The company plans to further advance based on its competitiveness in materials for battery cases, aluminum for secondary batteries, semiconductor equipment materials, and heat sink materials.

Kim Neungsik, Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Economic Authority, stated, "This agreement marks an important turning point for the Pyeongtaek Poseung district to become a hub of industrial ecosystems such as future vehicles and semiconductors. We will strive to create the best environment for companies to invest with confidence through proactive regulatory improvements and administrative support, while also doing our utmost to create local jobs and strengthen industrial competitiveness."

The Pyeongtaek Poseung district is an optimal location for advanced mobility and materials, parts, and equipment (so-called 'MPE') industries, and is already home to global companies such as Hyundai Mobis, TOK, Air Products, and Daewoon System.

In addition, the Hyeondeok district (2.32 km²) is in the process of attracting anchor companies, while the Siheung Baegot district (0.88 km²) will enable research collaboration in medical bio and future mobility for land, sea, and air through its partnership with Seoul National University Hospital (scheduled to open in 2027). Furthermore, additional designation of the Ansan Science Valley (ASV) district (1.66 km²) is promoting collaborative research and development (R&D) in advanced robotics and AI fields.
