"System Errors Such as Disconnected Calls" Raised

Kim Young-rok, who lost to Min Hyeong-bae in the Democratic Party primary for the unified special mayor of Jeonnam·Gwangju, has refused to accept the result and has filed for a retrial.

On April 15, Kim's camp requested a retrial from the party headquarters, citing suspicions of a system malfunction during the primary process.

Reportedly, on the first day of the primary, April 12, there were abnormal incidents such as phone calls frequently being disconnected for some voters in Jeonnam, which led to a re-investigation and caused issues during the process.

The Democratic Party's retrial committee will review Kim's application and notify the result-whether to approve, reject, or dismiss the request-within 48 hours.
