The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 15th that it held a "Syringe Supply Hotline Establishment Agreement Ceremony for Hemodialysis Clinics" at Korea Vaccine in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, together with the Korean Medical Association (KMA), the Korean Society of Dialysis Physicians, and syringe manufacturers and importers.

According to the agreement, the KMA and syringe manufacturers and importers will supply the necessary syringes to clinic-level medical institutions providing hemodialysis, within the bounds of maintaining distribution order, until the end of June to resolve difficulties in syringe supply. If needed, they will further discuss and expand supply.

Minister of Health and Welfare Jung Eun-Kyung said, "With the establishment of the hotline, a minimum safety net has been secured in the supply system for essential medical products," adding, "The government will ensure that there are no disruptions to essential medical services by facilitating real-time communication with the field, providing raw materials for production, and preparing tailored measures for the supply chains of individual medical products."
