The Sunlight Income Village project aims to secure stable income for residents through their direct participation in solar power generation, while also expanding the region's energy self-sufficiency.
Through the operation of the promotion team, the county plans to strengthen cooperation between the administration and external organizations and to enhance its capacity to successfully compete for the public project. The meeting focused on key issues such as an overview of the project, strategies for the public application, allocation of roles among institutions, ways to boost resident participation, and potential sources of conflict and countermeasures during implementation.
Participants identified resident acceptance and participation as the most critical factors for the project's success. Consequently, they agreed on the need for follow-up measures to increase residents' understanding, such as strengthening publicity and expanding briefing sessions.
Kim Youngsik, acting mayor of Gochang County, stated, "By strengthening the cooperation system with the Sunlight Income Village Promotion Team at the center, we will do our best not only to be selected for the public project but also to ensure the stable establishment of the initiative."
