Anseong City Sees Strong Demand for 'Youth Culture and Arts Pass' with Issuance Rate Surpassing 75%

for 19- and 20-Year-Old Youths
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that the '2026 Youth Culture and Arts Pass Project,' which is being implemented to expand opportunities for local youth to enjoy culture, is progressing smoothly, with the issuance rate surpassing 75%.
According to the city, as of April 14, out of 1,134 available passes, 850 have been issued, recording an issuance rate of approximately 75%. The remaining passes are reportedly being claimed quickly.
The 'Anseong City Youth Culture and Arts Pass' is a program that provides 150,000 won per person to 19- and 20-year-olds (born in 2006 and 2007) for use in various cultural and artistic experiences, such as attending performances, exhibitions, and movies.
This year, the eligibility age has been expanded from 19 to 20, and more partner reservation platforms have been added to enhance convenience. In the performing arts and exhibition sectors, the pass can be used on Interpark (NOL Ticket), Yes24 Ticket, Ticket Link, and Melon Ticket; for movies, it is available at Megabox, Lotte Cinema, and CGV.
The first round of applications can be submitted online through the Youth Culture and Arts Pass website until June 30, and since the passes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, early closure is expected. In addition, the issued Youth Culture and Arts Pass can be used until December 31, 2026. For those who received the pass in the first round, if it is not used by July 31, 2026, the support funds will be reclaimed, so it must be used within the designated period.
A city official stated, "The Youth Culture and Arts Pass is designed to help young people experience various performances and exhibitions without financial burden, fostering cultural sensitivity. We encourage eligible youth to apply proactively, as some may miss out on benefits if they delay their application."
