With the appropriate blood reserves at less than five days during the spring, when blood supply shortages are common, the Naval Education and Training Command has rolled up its sleeves to participate in the 'Blood Donation Campaign of Love' over two days from April 15 to 16 in an effort to stabilize blood supply.
This Blood Donation Campaign was organized so that the Naval Education and Training Command can contribute to the creation of an elite navy that protects the nation by regularly preparing for blood shortages, and to practice love for neighbors and sharing life through blood donation.
The Naval Education and Training Command worked in cooperation with the Gyeongnam Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross to deploy blood donation buses throughout the base and encouraged personnel to participate voluntarily in the donation campaign.
Colonel Cho Doseon, Commander of the Medical Battalion, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to the comrades who participated during this national crisis of blood supply shortages," and added, "We will continue to carry out blood donation campaigns to help overcome blood supply crises and promote the sharing of life."
Meanwhile, the Naval Education and Training Command conducts regular blood donation campaigns every quarter. In January, Sergeant Major Lee Jaeho of the Naval Education and Training Command donated 100 blood donation certificates to the Gyeongnam Blood Center, taking the lead in activities of love for neighbors and sharing life.
