This conference was arranged at the request of the Omani delegation, led by the PTLC President, during their visit to Korea, with the aim of benchmarking policies to expand SME participation in the public procurement market. The event consisted of a briefing by the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise on "Policies to Support Market Access for SMEs in Korea's Public Procurement Market," followed by a Q&A session.

Zarakiya Al Saadi, Ambassador of Oman to Korea, also attended the meeting and pledged to promote active economic exchanges and close cooperation between SMEs of the two countries. Changhoe Yang, Executive Director of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise, stated, "Recently, amid surging crude oil and naphtha prices and supply instability caused by the ongoing war in the Middle East, Korean SMEs are facing significant challenges." "Since crude oil and naphtha are Oman’s largest export items to Korea, and the Korean government visited Oman last week to request stable supplies of these resources, we hope that the Omani government’s active support will further vitalize economic cooperation between our two nations."
