On April 15, Lock&Lock announced that it will introduce picnic items such as tumblers, cooler bags, and silicone zipper bags in collaboration with the Korean character IP 'Balloon Friends'.
This collaboration was planned to reflect the picnic mood for the spring season, when outdoor activities increase. The lineup consists of five different products that can be enjoyed by a wide range of age groups, from children to people in their 20s and 30s.
Balloon Friends is a balloon character that escaped from a small props shop in California, and has gained attention for its cute and bouncy design. Lock&Lock signed a content IP activation business agreement with the Korea Creative Content Agency to build an IP licensing ecosystem for small and medium-sized enterprises and promote the spread of domestic content IPs. The picnic items are also scheduled to be released sequentially in global markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand.
For beverageware, Lock&Lock introduced two types: the 'School Fit One-Touch Switch Cap Tumbler' and the '2in1 With Tumbler'. The School Fit One-Touch Switch Cap Tumbler features a one-touch open mechanism that even children can easily use. The 2in1 With Tumbler combines a tumbler and a reusable cup, making it convenient for multiple people to share drinks together.
Lock&Lock has also released a variety of picnic items, including three types of Balloon Friends silicone zipper bags, a cooler bag, and a picnic mat. The cooler bag is equipped with a built-in insulation layer for both heat and cold retention, and has a generous 13L capacity to store lunch boxes, drinks, and snacks. The picnic mat is large enough for three to four people, and features a roll-up fastening strap and waterproof fabric for enhanced portability and convenience.
A Lock&Lock representative said, "We have infused the unique bright and cheerful vibe of Balloon Friends into our products to make picnics even more enjoyable," adding, "Through this collaboration, we aim to actively introduce Korean content IPs to global markets and continuously expand brand experiences through various partnerships."
