Habitus Associates announced on April 15 that its artificial intelligence (AI) art platform, Artue, has established a system that connects artwork discovery to transactions by integrating with OpenAI's "Apps in ChatGPT."
Artue provides personalized artwork recommendations and exploration experiences based on Asian contemporary art data. It currently holds data on 4,743 pieces from 96 galleries and 654 artists. Apps in ChatGPT allows users to search, receive recommendations, and execute actions through conversation, without the need to switch to a separate application.
This integration marks the first time that Artue's conversational art curation technology has been applied to a global large language model (LLM) environment. Rather than keyword searches or image exploration, users can express their emotions through conversation, and Artue recommends artworks and facilitates actual purchases, payments, and delivery, creating a seamless transaction structure.
In particular, Habitus Associates has secured a global transaction framework by introducing not only cross-border payment methods such as PayPal and credit cards, but also a US dollar-based stablecoin payment system. In the future, the company plans to sequentially link gallery Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), collector customer relationship management (CRM), real-world asset (RWA)-based art finance, and security token offerings (STO) to expand the art market infrastructure.
Boyoung Song, CEO of Habitus Associates, said, "In the AI era, the art market is shifting from search-centric to discovering and understanding preferences through conversation, and Artue is the first to demonstrate this in the market."
