Through this agreement, both parties aim to expand Toss FacePay, Toss’s facial recognition payment service, to franchise member stores. The Korea Franchise Industry Association will support the adoption of FacePay among its member companies, while Toss will be responsible for providing payment infrastructure and technology.

Toss FacePay is a convenient payment service that allows users to make payments simply with facial authentication. It enables payments without the need for a separate card or smartphone and reduces repetitive work caused by store staff operating point-of-sale (POS) systems. This provides the dual benefits of shortening customer wait times and enhancing store operation efficiency.

The Korea Franchise Industry Association will use its channels to notify and promote FacePay adoption among its members, while Toss will provide technical support and work together to establish an operational system for the initial implementation. Both sides also plan to sequentially hold briefings and training programs for franchise headquarters executives in the future.

Kim Gyuha, Vice President of Toss, said, "FacePay is not just a convenient payment method, but an innovative tool that makes the daily lives of franchise owners more convenient. Through this collaboration with the Korea Franchise Industry Association, we will work together to help more small business owners improve their payment experience." Na Myungseok, President of the Korea Franchise Industry Association, stated, "Through this agreement with Toss, our member companies will have an environment where they can more easily adopt new payment technologies. We will actively support franchise owners so that they can operate their stores more easily and conveniently."
