Gyeonggi Agency to Promote ESG Management Consulting for SMEs... Applications Open Until May 7

The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is accepting applications from companies wishing to participate in its ESG management consulting support program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) until May 7.

This initiative was established to help local SMEs meet the ESG standards required by global supply chains and to support them in responding to the risk of transaction disruptions.

Eligible applicants are SMEs that have their headquarters or factories located in Gyeonggi-do as of the announcement date and have been in operation for at least three years. Companies may apply for multiple consulting categories.

The agency plans to provide tailored consulting to approximately 65 companies, covering three areas: supply chain due diligence response, Ecovadis assessment response, and sustainability report preparation.

Through this program, the agency intends to diagnose ESG vulnerabilities for each company and connect them with international certifications, thereby strengthening the ESG capabilities and external credibility of SMEs.

Hyungon Kim, President of the agency, stated, "With global ESG regulations becoming stricter, it is crucial for SMEs to take proactive measures. Through this support, we will actively help local SMEs establish a foundation for sustainable growth and secure competitiveness in the international market."

Last year, the agency supported a total of 70 companies through this program. More than half of the 45 companies that received consulting on supply chain due diligence improved their overall ESG ratings by at least two levels.
