LG CNS is targeting the global market with its next-generation logistics robot, which operates 24 hours a day even in environments as cold as minus 26 degrees Celsius.
LG CNS announced on the 13th (local time) that it unveiled its logistics automation robot, the "Mobile Shuttle," at Modex 2026, the largest logistics exhibition in North America, which opened in Atlanta, USA.

Dozens to hundreds of shuttle robots can move along warehouse shelves at a speed of 1.5 meters per second, with each shuttle robot capable of carrying up to 1,500 kg of goods.
The four-way shuttle structure, which allows for forward, backward, lateral, and vertical movement, minimizes route constraints while maximizing handling efficiency. With its high-density storage structure, it has improved storage efficiency by more than 30% compared to existing logistics equipment.
The mobile shuttle is also equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) agent functionality. In the event of exceptions such as urgent shipments, on-site workers can directly control the shuttle robots by giving instructions to a chatbot using natural language. If an abnormality occurs in a shuttle robot, the AI agent can analyze the cause and suggest response measures to the operator.
The application of mathematical optimization technology has further enhanced logistics operation efficiency. The system analyzes the routes and work status of the shuttle robots in real time, reduces bottlenecks, and establishes optimal work plans for inbound and outbound operations, automatically assigning tasks to each shuttle robot.
The mobile shuttle is designed to safely transport not only general cargo but also cylindrical items such as automotive batteries. It has also obtained UL certification, a mandatory safety standard for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment in the United States. The types and materials of the shuttle robots can be selected to suit different industries, enabling the construction of customized logistics systems.
LG CNS has been achieving business results in the global market since it first introduced the mobile shuttle at Promat 2025, a logistics automation exhibition held in Chicago last year.
Last month, LG CNS signed a contract to build a mobile shuttle-based logistics automation system at the Paris Baguette bakery plant currently under construction in Texas, USA. LG CNS will also provide a system that controls the mobile shuttles and integrates logistics inventory management, as well as a remote monitoring system for real-time facility condition monitoring. Logistics automation systems based on hundreds of shuttle robots are also in operation at North American plants of LG affiliates.
Junho Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Smart Logistics & City Business at LG CNS, said, "By making the mobile shuttle applicable even to refrigerated and frozen environments, we have expanded the scope of logistics automation. Based on our differentiated competitiveness in high-density, high-efficiency logistics operations, we will continue to expand our global business."
