J.D. Vance, Vice President of the United States, stated that negotiations with Iran are ongoing, saying, "U.S. President Donald Trump wants a comprehensive agreement, a grand bargain, with Iran."

원본보기 아이콘According to The New York Times (NYT) on the 14th (local time), Vice President Vance made these remarks at an event hosted by the conservative group Turning Point USA at the University of Georgia. He explained that President Trump's policy is to "ensure that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons."
He went on to add, "Right now, we are negotiating to make that very outcome happen."
Referring again to President Trump, he said, "If you (Iran) are willing to act like a normal country, we are also willing to treat you economically like a normal country." He then added, "President Trump does not want a small deal."
Turning Point USA is a conservative political organization for young people and college students in the United States, founded by Charlie Kirk, who died in a shooting last year.
