Smilegate’s Operating Profit Last Year at KRW 359.8 Billion, Down 30.1% Year-on-Year

On April 14, Smilegate announced through its audit report that its consolidated operating profit for last year was KRW 359.8 billion, a decrease of 30.1% compared to the previous year.

During the same period, revenue declined by 5.6% to KRW 1.4365 trillion, while net profit fell by 36.1% to KRW 302.3 billion.

Although the performance of 'Crossfire' in China and the publishing of the new title 'Chaos Zero Nightmare,' released in October last year, contributed positively, the decline in revenue from 'Lost Ark' is believed to have affected the overall results. Last year, 'Lost Ark' generated approximately KRW 280 billion in revenue, a 40% decrease from the previous year.

Starting this year, Smilegate has restructured itself into a single corporation by merging its holding company Smilegate Holdings, 'Crossfire' development subsidiary Smilegate Entertainment, and 'Lost Ark' developer Smilegate RPG.
