Webzen announced on April 14 that the indie game "Memories: Forsaken by Light" (hereinafter "Memories") will officially launch on April 28.
"Memories" is an indie game in the turn-based strategy role-playing game (RPG) genre, developed by the Korean game studio Black Anchor and published by Webzen. It was first introduced in early access under the name "Remore" on Steam and the Epic Games Store in October 2023, and its gameplay has been refined for over two years since then.
Webzen stated, "We actively incorporated feedback from early access participants, implementing improvements across the entire game, including its worldbuilding, combat, and progression systems," adding, "After changing the game's title to 'Memories' in February, we prepared for this official launch."
The game aims to deliver the core enjoyment of a strategy RPG that emphasizes meticulous tactics. Set in a unique medieval fantasy world rendered in pixel graphics, players embark on an expedition to restore Memories, which has lost its mysterious light. Within a framework of limited rules, players can enjoy the thrill of survival and exploration by employing diverse tactics, as well as nurture their own expedition team by combining various skills and weapons to explore more than 80 regions.
The official release will introduce a significantly expanded main quest compared to the early access version, along with four new characters, each with distinct tactical features. The game will also support eight languages, including English, Chinese, and French.
