According to Gokseong County on April 14, a group of 45 farmers from the local blueberry shipping cooperative recently visited advanced farms in Jangheung County, Jeonnam, where they learned key techniques for producing high-quality blueberries and achieving early shipment.

This training program was conducted as a field tour, allowing participants to directly experience advanced farming methods at blueberry grading centers and facility houses. On site, examples were shared of how multi-layered thermal curtains and frame cultivation have enabled earlier harvests, and specialized skills in temperature control and other early cultivation technologies were also introduced.

In addition, participants discussed practical income-raising strategies for farmers, such as management methods that extend the shipping period by combining open-field and facility-based cultivation, as well as ways to enhance added value by processing non-marketable fruit.

Seo Yeonnam, Director of the Gokseong County Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "Learning from the success stories of advanced farms directly in the field is the most effective method," adding, "We will continue to provide field-oriented education to help increase farm income."
