The main activities include making carrot cupcakes, a small animal interaction experience, and traditional Korean games.
Making carrot cupcakes is a cooking activity using fresh ingredients, offering participants a chance to stimulate their senses and enhance their self-efficacy. The small animal interaction experience involves feeding animals, fostering emotional satisfaction and psychological stability through connecting with living creatures. In addition, the traditional games will help participants build camaraderie and relieve daily stress.
An official from the Pyeongtaek Public Health Center said, "We hope that this healing program will give families and caregivers of dementia patients an opportunity to recharge their energy by interacting with animals in nature," adding, "We will continue to run systematic programs to reduce the burden of care and improve quality of life going forward."
