Since April 13, LG Uplus has been sequentially providing USIM updates and free replacements to all customers. Customers eligible for USIM updates can proceed directly via the U+one app and the company's website. Those who wish to update or replace their USIM at a store can make a reservation in advance and receive the service upon visiting.

On the previous day, Hong Beomsik, CEO of LG Uplus, visited the company’s direct store at Jongno 3-ga Station and a partner store at Jonggak Station in Seoul to inspect the USIM update and replacement sites. He also requested that efforts be made to ensure there is no inconvenience for customers.

Lee Jaewon, Head of the Consumer Division at LG Uplus, stated, "We are operating both reservation-based systems and on-site responses to ensure that USIM updates and free replacements can proceed smoothly." He added, "Although there were brief delays on the first day of operations, we have stabilized the service and minimized customer inconvenience through additional measures such as expanding capacity. We will ensure that the enhanced security system is implemented without any setbacks."
