Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, announced on April 14 that it will host the percussion group Gori's performance, "Beating Sancheong," at 3:00 p.m. on April 18 at the outdoor stage of Gisan Gugakdang.

This performance has been organized as part of Gisan Gugakdang's Saturday regular concert series, and aims to deliver the excitement and inspiration of traditional arts to both residents and tourists.

The stage will feature traditional Korean performances including the Lion Dance, spinning plate (Beonanoreum), and Yeol Dubal Nori, along with a dynamic ensemble of Modum Buk (Korean barrel drums). The powerful resonance of percussion and the diverse performances are expected to provide a rich spectacle for the audience.

In particular, the Yedamchon Pungmul Troupe and San&Rock Modum Buk Arts Troupe will make special appearances, performing together with Percussion Group Gori. The fusion of traditional and contemporary rhythms is expected to further enhance the quality of the performance.

Percussion Group Gori derives its name from the Korean word for drum (Gu) and rhythm (Ri), and presents creative percussion performances that blend traditional Samulnori with various musical elements from around the world.

A Sancheong-gun official stated, "The Gisan Gugakdang Saturday regular concert has established itself as a signature cultural program enjoyed by both residents and tourists," and added, "We will continue to strive to promote the charm of traditional arts through a variety of gugak performances in the future."
