Hanmi Semiconductor announced on April 14 that it has promoted Minhyun Kim from President to Vice Chairman.
Vice Chairman Minhyun Kim joined Hanmi Semiconductor in 1996. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2011, then to President in 2014, and has now been promoted to Vice Chairman. Over the past 30 years, he has overseen the company’s core business operations.
Before joining Hanmi Semiconductor, he began his career in the semiconductor industry in 1986 at the Overseas Sales Department of Samsung Electronics, and served as the head of Royal Sovereign Korea in 1992.
Hanmi Semiconductor holds the top global position in the TC Bonder market for HBM (High Bandwidth Memory), which is a key segment in the artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor market. Since 2002, the company has focused on strengthening its intellectual property rights and now possesses 163 patents related to HBM equipment, including those pending. Hanmi Semiconductor has also ranked number one globally for 23 consecutive years since 2004 in the market for "Micro Saw & Vision Placement (MSVP)," a key piece of post-processing semiconductor equipment.
With this executive appointment, Hanmi Semiconductor plans to further strengthen its management leadership and solidify its position as a global leader in next-generation semiconductor packaging equipment.
