The companies expect this collaboration to become the first domestic commercial case of “Explainable AI Investing” services targeted at individual investors.

LG AI Research Institute plans to implement the “Explainable AI Investing” service in partnership with its collaborators by leveraging “EXAONE-Business Intelligence (EXAONE-BI),” a financial AI agent that not only generates prediction scores but also answers the “why?” behind them.

CEO Eom stated, “Our goal is to create an environment where individual investors can make investment decisions more easily, thanks to investment services that combine AI technology and global data. We plan to continue advancing our asset management services and platforms to further enhance customer convenience and utility in investing.”

Director Falmagne commented, “This collaboration marks an important turning point in creating greater value across the financial ecosystem. LG's EXAONE-BI stands out from existing services by providing both predictions and explanations, and through our partnership with Kiwoom Securities, we expect to deliver a more transparent and understandable AI investment experience to Korean retail investors.”

Director Lim emphasized, “For financial AI agents, explainability and reliability are as important as accuracy. EXAONE-BI is evolving into a practical AI agent that supports human decision-making, with expert agents collaborating from analysis and prediction to report generation. This is significant as it demonstrates how LG’s vertical AI technology is being integrated with global financial infrastructure to deliver real services.”

LG AI Research Institute plans to further advance its technology so that AI agents can support human decision-making processes across the financial market and various industries.
