Goyang City Recruiting Companies for YouTube's 'Jeonboja'... "Officials Work and Promote on Your Behalf"

From Department Introductions to ‘Citizen-Centered’ Field Content

Public Officials Lend a Hand and Promote Unique Jobs and Local Companies through the YouTube Channel

Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on April 14 that it is recruiting companies and workplaces to participate in a promotional project for Season 3 of its official YouTube channel’s job experience content, ‘Jeonboja (Other People’s Job)’. This new season will take the project directly to the workplaces that shape citizens’ daily lives.

While ‘Jeonboja’ previously focused on introducing the work of internal city departments and showcasing public service life, Season 3 will be revamped as ‘citizen-centered’ content, sending the team out into the community to meet people directly at various workplaces.

The core concept of this project is “Jeonboja will promote your business for you.” Goyang City officials will be dispatched to local companies or unique workplaces, where they will perform the work for a day. The episode will then be featured on Goyang City’s official YouTube channel, widely promoting the profession and workplace.

Notably, this project is designed with the theme “Give a vacation to your hardworking employee.” When a selected employee takes a day off, a public official will fill in for them, capturing the value of the workplace and the profession through lively YouTube videos.

The recruitment is open to all companies and workplaces located in Goyang. Anyone can apply regardless of size or industry, including: △ small business owners or employees of SMEs who need promotional support; △ those working in unique professions that are not widely known; and △ citizens who want to introduce distinctive jobs in their neighborhood.

Anyone wishing to apply or recommend a company or workplace can contact the Video Promotion Team of Goyang City Hall’s Media and Public Relations Office by phone, or apply and recommend through the poster’s QR code.

A Goyang City official stated, “We aim to go beyond simply introducing department work and to communicate by entering the real-life workplaces of our citizens,” adding, “We hope many people will take interest and participate in this project, which will showcase the true nature of local companies and the diverse world of professions as our officials get involved on site.”

The stories of the final selected participants will be released sequentially through Goyang Special City’s official YouTube channel.
