The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage announced on April 14 that the cultural heritage surveying software 'Arch 3D Liner', for which it provided development support, will receive the IR52 Jang Yeongsil Award.
The IR52 Jang Yeongsil Award is the most prestigious industrial technology prize in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Every week for a year, outstanding innovative products are selected and awarded.
Arch 3D Liner is intelligent software that analyzes the shape information of three-dimensional scan data, automatically recognizes period, material, and deformation, and infers measurement drawings. It generates images optimized for artifacts using single-object composite rendering technology. A representative of the institute explained, "Compared to manual work, it shortens the work time by more than eight times."
This product is the result of a research project (2022-2025) led by Dongguk University WISE Campus with Carrotpunt as a joint participant, and is also part of the 'National Heritage Smart Preservation and Utilization Technology Development' initiative promoted by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage since 2021.
Previously, it was recognized for its global technological competitiveness by winning the CES 2025 Innovation Award. It also received a Prime Minister's Commendation for its contribution to the Public Procurement Service's pilot purchase program for innovative products.
