On April 13, Democratic Party leader Jung Cheongrae paid tribute to the two firefighters who died in the line of duty at the scene of a cold storage warehouse fire in Wando County, South Jeolla Province, offering condolences to their families.
At around 6:50 p.m. that day, Jung visited the memorial altar set up at the funeral hall of Wando Daesung Hospital and the farewell ceremony at the Wando Culture and Arts Center in succession. With a solemn expression, he laid flowers and bowed his head in silent tribute before the portraits of the deceased, expressing his deepest condolences for the noble sacrifices of the two heroes who rushed into the flames to protect the lives and property of the people.
