Anthropic Claude Achieves 30.6% Enterprise Adoption Rate... Closing in on ChatGPT

Anthropic Narrows the Gap with OpenAI in B2B

Already Leading in Sectors such as Information and Finance

Anthropic's artificial intelligence (AI) service and model, Claude, is now closing the gap with ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Gemini (Google). As the company continues to roll out new offerings for enterprise customers, there are predictions that it could soon surpass OpenAI.

According to the U.S. fintech startup Ramp on April 14, the enterprise adoption rate for Anthropic's AI tool reached 30.6% as of last month. This figure represents an increase of 6.3 percentage points compared to February, marking the largest monthly rise in Anthropic's history for enterprise adoption. In February, Anthropic had already set a record with a 4.9 percentage point increase from the previous month, but managed to break its own record just a month later. As a result, Anthropic has narrowed the enterprise adoption rate gap with OpenAI (35.2%) to just 4.6 percentage points. Ramp also noted that Anthropic has already overtaken OpenAI in three sectors: information, finance & insurance, and professional services.

There are even forecasts that Anthropic will soon surpass OpenAI in the business-to-business (B2B) market. Ara Karajian, an economist at Ramp, stated, "If this trend continues, Anthropic will overtake OpenAI within two months."

Anthropic has focused on B2B services targeting IT companies and startups, rather than releasing a chatbot for individual consumers. In fact, its developer-oriented AI tool, Claude Code, has achieved the top market share among developers, outpacing Codex (OpenAI) and Gemini Code Assist (Google). In the AI agent space, the company also launched a business service called Claude Cowork, which enables automated work tools to be created through conversation with AI. Immediately after this release, the stock prices of major U.S. software companies saw a sharp decline.

Claude is also rapidly gaining presence in the Korean market for general users. According to IGAWorks Mobile Index, the Claude app ranked third in its category with 365,073 new installations in domestic app markets (Android Play Store and Apple App Store combined) last month. This is approximately an 8.5-fold increase compared to 42,701 installations in January. In terms of monthly active users (MAU), Claude app reached 602,276 in March, placing it among the top five for the first time.
