A man in his 30s was booked by police in Busan after causing a disturbance near a middle school while heavily intoxicated.
According to Yonhap News, Haeundae Police Station in Busan announced on the 12th that they have booked a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, without detention on charges including trespassing on a building and are currently investigating the case.
Mr. A is accused of entering a middle school in Haeundae-gu, Busan, at around 11:41 a.m. on April 9 while intoxicated, forcibly linking arms with three male students he encountered and dragging them around, thereby assaulting them.
Police responded after a school official who witnessed the incident filed a report. Officers found Mr. A near the school, confirmed his identity, and directed him to return home. However, Mr. A did not comply and, at 1:38 p.m. the same day, entered a shopping area in an apartment complex near the middle school, walking around shirtless.
After residents reported the disturbance, police responded again and arrested Mr. A in the act on a road near the apartment complex. The police investigation revealed that Mr. A had consumed eight bottles of soju with two companions earlier that morning and was severely intoxicated at the time of the incident.
A police official commented on Mr. A's condition, stating, "He was in a state where he could hardly remember what he had done." The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and eyewitness testimonies to determine the precise circumstances of the incident.
