"85% Employment Success Rate"... SSAFY Recruiting 16th Cohort to Nurture Young SW and AI Talent

The Samsung Youth SW·AI Academy (SSAFY) will begin recruiting trainees for its 16th cohort from April 27 to May 11, 2026.

SSAFY is Samsung Electronics’ CSR program designed to strengthen the employment competitiveness of young people by providing systematic education in software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI), along with tailored job placement support services.

Eligible applicants are job-seeking youth under the age of 29 who have graduated from a university or Meister high school. Applicants must complete an application on the Samsung Youth SW·AI Academy website and will be selected through the SSAFY aptitude test and interview process. The training will start in July 2026 and will be conducted over one year at five campuses nationwide: Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, Gumi, and the Busan-based Bu-Ul-Gyeong campus.

SSAFY is operated based on Samsung’s SW·AI education expertise and an AI curriculum co-designed with leading AI professors from top Korean universities, including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and KAIST. In particular, as data utilization skills have become increasingly important in the AI era, the academy is expanding its data track, which covers the entire data processing pipeline, including data collection, refinement, and analysis. Additionally, a new robotics project has been introduced to prepare students for the era of physical AI.

Park Jinhyun, a graduate of SSAFY’s 12th cohort, said, “The development experience I gained at SSAFY became the strongest asset in my career,” and advised, “I hope prospective trainees will also broaden their possibilities through SSAFY.”

Since launching its first cohort on December 1, 2018, SSAFY has produced a cumulative total of 10,125 graduates through its 12th cohort, of whom 8,566 have successfully found employment, achieving an employment rate of approximately 85%.
