The "KB Open Innovation Program" is a startup incubation program aimed at supporting the growth of the innovative entrepreneurship ecosystem and promoting the joint growth of the financial sector and startups.

This year, KB Financial Group has diversified its recruitment channels and strengthened its capabilities for discovering startups and supporting technology verification by partnering with Seoul Startup Hub, a startup support center under the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Business Agency (SBA). Selected companies will receive ▲KRW 10 million in PoC (Proof of Concept) support funds, ▲opportunities for business collaboration with KB Financial Group affiliates (including PoC execution and business partnerships), ▲access to the Open Innovation Project Room (Gangnam HUB), and ▲opportunities for selection in the KB Starters program on a rolling basis. In addition, outstanding PoC companies will receive an additional KRW 10 million in support funds.

This program provides startups with opportunities for PoC, allowing them to validate and apply innovative technologies in actual business settings, thereby expanding their foundation for growth and helping them achieve tangible commercialization outcomes.

This year, eight affiliates will participate: KB Financial Group, KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Kookmin Card, KB Life Insurance, KB Capital, and KB Real Estate Trust.

The recruitment covers a total of 15 projects, including 13 domestic and 2 global projects. Major projects include ▲development of a legal AI agent, ▲automation of car accident liability assessment using AI-based video analysis, ▲development of robotic services for senior care, ▲development of a collateral trust contract AI agent, and ▲establishment of an automated onboarding platform for global corporate client KYC (Know Your Customer), among others.

Further details can be found in the recruitment announcement. Startups wishing to participate can apply through the official KB Innovation HUB website by 18:00 on April 30.
