President Lee Jaemyung will present Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who is visiting Korea on the 13th, with a smartwatch and a framed couple’s crane calligraphy artwork, among other gifts.
The Blue House stated that the smartwatch, equipped with the latest health and artificial intelligence (AI) features, was chosen to reflect Prime Minister Tusk’s interests in sports such as soccer and running.

The framed couple’s crane calligraphy artwork, which depicts a pair of cranes symbolizing longevity and nobility, represents harmony and a long, prosperous life for couples.
A Bangjja Yugi cutlery set was also prepared. The Blue House explained that Bangjja Yugi, a type of traditional Korean bronzeware, has long been called the “vessel of life,” and the moon pattern signifies abundance and brightness, much like a full moon.
Furthermore, as an avid dog lover who currently keeps a pet dog, Prime Minister Tusk will receive a pet dog cape. The cape is designed in the style of a hanbok, but in a form that is easy for a pet dog to wear, rather than the traditional hanbok style.
At Prime Minister Tusk’s accommodation, a welcome kit will be provided, featuring a set of songpyeon (rice cakes) shaped like flower petals in a white porcelain box, along with a fruit basket primarily containing Korean fruits such as Cheonhyehyang citrus, Korean melon, apples, and pears.
Meanwhile, on this day, President Lee will hold a summit meeting and an official luncheon with Prime Minister Tusk. The Blue House announced that key business figures involved in economic cooperation with Poland, including the defense industry, will be invited to the luncheon to further promote economic collaboration between the two countries.
The luncheon will feature dishes such as beef rolls served with “Mizeria,” a Polish cucumber salad known to be a favorite of Prime Minister Tusk; pierogi, a traditional Polish dumpling served with soybean paste sour cream; and Korean Hanwoo sirloin accompanied by “Bigos,” a classic Polish cabbage stew.
