The Ministry of SMEs and Startups considers the active participation of university students and young people as a critical element of this project. Accordingly, the ministry is promoting the initiative to its core target audience by hosting the Everyone's Startup campus tour events at major universities across the country.
On this day, Minister Han visited the campus tour event held at the Democracy Square on the Chungnam National University campus, where she experienced activities with students such as the "Entrepreneurship Tendency Test," "Photo Certification," and "Souvenir Raffle." The event focused on making the subject of entrepreneurship, which has been difficult for young people to access, more approachable and enjoyable.
In the subsequent roundtable discussion, Minister Han shared and discussed the perceptions of entrepreneurship among Chungnam National University students interested in startups and also provided time for students to introduce their own startup ideas. Afterwards, she listened to a variety of opinions on the challenges young people face regarding entrepreneurship, including concerns about failure after starting a business, difficulties in balancing academics and entrepreneurship, and the complexity of finding startup information.
Minister Hansung-sook stated, "The experience of taking on challenges during university will become an important asset in life, regardless of whether you actually start a business," and added, "Entrepreneurship is not just for a select few, and I hope a culture of embracing challenges will further expand, especially among young people."
