This festival was organized to widely promote the appeal of the Byeollae-dong area and to enhance community unity and pride among residents.

The Byeollae-dong Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually, led by residents of the Complex 1 Residents' Association, which consists of 9,193 households across 11 districts in Byeollae-dong.

The festival took place in the area from Deoksongcheon Bridge No. 7 to the Deoksong Village Garden. The venue featured resident-participation programs that allowed people of all ages to enjoy the spring atmosphere, including a cherry blossom walk, a flea market, eco-friendly carbon-neutral experience booths, and a farmers' direct market.

In addition, a variety of performances, such as the silver band group "Dream Girls" and the acoustic guitar club "Yetdu," composed of Namyangju residents, added to the excitement of the festival.

President Han Chunhyeon stated, "This cherry blossom festival holds great significance as an event created and participated in directly by the residents," adding, "It was a precious time for residents to communicate and unite together in the Deoksongcheon area, where cherry blossoms were in full bloom."

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok further commented, "Byeollae-dong is a region where the culture of neighborly warmth and community remains alive, even as the city grows rapidly. I hope that this festival provides residents with the leisure and joy of spring and serves as an opportunity to bring everyone even closer together."
