The event was attended by more than 900 people, including National Assemblyman Kwon Chilsung, city and provincial council members, key regional dignitaries, and local residents. Under the theme "Pink Accompaniment," attendees enjoyed time for community bonding against the backdrop of fully bloomed cherry blossoms.

Notably, this year’s festival was a resident-led event, with community members directly participating from the planning stage. It further gained significance as a venue for unity, reflecting the unique character of Gibaedong, which is home to both traditional villages and apartment complexes, and bringing together various generations and cultures.

The festivities began with a “cherry blossom path plogging” activity to beautify the village environment. Various stage performances followed, including Taekwondo and jump rope performances, acoustic guitar and senior ensemble, a media concert, Zumba and line dance, and a Nanta performance, all adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

In addition, hands-on booths and exhibition-sales programs-such as hanbok experience, making meju and makdoenjang, keyring and traditional knot crafts, face painting, caricatures, and folk games-were operated, receiving enthusiastic responses from families attending the festival.

A resident who participated in the festival said, "I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy high-quality performances and diverse experiences close to home. The systematic organization was impressive, and I definitely want to come again next year."

Kim Sungho, President of the Gibaedong Residents' Association, commented, "It was meaningful that the festival, created through direct participation by residents, concluded safely with so much interest and participation. We will continue to develop the Gibaeb Cherry Blossom Festival into the region's representative spring event."
