This briefing session is designed to deepen understanding of the overhead power distribution sector, a core job in the electric power industry, and to introduce field training programs that reflect industry demand. Organized by the Career and Employment Support Center of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, the sessions will be conducted by region: the northern session will be held on April 13 at Korea Mobility High School, and the southern session will take place on April 15 at Suwon Technical High School.

In particular, the focus is on helping vocational high school students and their parents better understand the safety and operational systems of the electric power industry, thereby laying the groundwork for increased participation in field training.

During the briefing, participants will receive practical information, including: ▲ an introduction to the electric power industry and overhead power distribution jobs ▲ details about field training programs and safety management systems ▲ employment linkage strategies. In addition, the sessions will emphasize that the overhead power distribution sector is a specialized technical job managed systematically, based on standardized safety procedures and educational systems.

Meanwhile, the "Future Electric Power Talent Academy Program," a field training program specializing in overhead power distribution, will be held for four days from May 18 to 22. It will be jointly operated for the first time by the Career and Employment Support Center of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and the Electric Power Technology Training Institute under the Korea Electrical Engineers Association.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education plans to expand systematic support so that students can grow into skilled professionals with practical capabilities in a safe environment, based on the fact that the electric power industry is a national foundational industry with ongoing workforce demand.
