He added, "I will devote my 40 years of expertise as an education professional to decisively resolve educational issues in the western region of Jeonnam and foster great leaders."
Lee proposed the following initiatives: ▲ Establishment of the 'Second Career and College Admission Hub Center' in the western region ▲ Expansion of the successful 'Docho High School Model' from Shinan throughout the western region ▲ Fostering Meister High Schools in connection with future industries ▲ Establishment of an experiential history education and cultural center ▲ Operation of 'Youth School' programs for seniors.
He explained, "We will implement a one-stop college admission counseling system that rivals Seoul's Gangnam district, introduce mobile counseling services that visit island areas, and launch a '24-hour counseling service' to overcome limitations of information access and distance." He continued, "By disseminating the Docho High School package, which achieved college admission results despite challenging conditions, to small schools, we will create 'small but strong schools,' and by installing '365 Study Rooms' in every high school, we will provide a metropolitan-level learning environment."
He further stated, "We will restructure departments and transition schools to Meister High Schools in connection with local strategic industries, such as Mokpo (smart ports and logistics), Yeongam (eco-friendly and smart shipbuilding), and Muan (aviation maintenance and services), in order to foster locally-rooted talent." He also pledged, "By building an educational platform utilizing sites of modern and contemporary history and maritime cultural resources in the western region, we will offer students vivid historical experiences and provide local residents with cultural spaces, making the western region a hub for history education."
Through these initiatives, Lee aims to decisively elevate the educational standards of the western region to the level of a large metropolitan city.
Jeongseon Lee emphasized, "The era of integration is a golden opportunity to fulfill our western residents' aspirations for talent development," and added, "Whether children live on islands or in agricultural and fishing villages, I will realize the western people's earnest desire for education that allows our children to achieve their grand dreams-'We must nurture people!'"
