On April 9, the KOSPI index opened at 5,826.45, down 45.89 points from the previous trading day, as displayed on the electronic board in the dealing room of Hana Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul. On the same day, the won-dollar exchange rate began trading at 1,480.6 won, up 10 won from the previous trading day.
