On April 9, the electronic display board in the dealing room at Hana Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul, shows the domestic stock market index as the KOSPI opened at 5,826.45, down 45.89 points from the previous trading day. On the same day, the won-dollar exchange rate started trading at 1,480.6 won, up 10 won from the previous trading day.
