Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will launch a same-day tour package called "Spring Breeze Royal Outing" on April 18, coinciding with the resumption of operations on the Gyoeo Line, to promote rail-based tourism.

원본보기 아이콘This package is a transfer-type railway tour product that connects the GTX-A metropolitan express railway and the Gyoeo Line, designed to enable visitors from the Seoul metropolitan area to conveniently visit Yangju using only public transportation.
Departures are available from Seoul Station, Daegok Station, and Uijeongbu Station, with Il-yeong Station on the Gyoeo Line serving as the gateway. The itinerary is structured so that visitors can experience Yangju’s representative historical, natural, and cultural attractions all in one day.
Major destinations include: ▲ The Yangju Hoeamsa Royal Festival ▲ Jangheung Wild Botanical Garden ▲ Jang Ucchin Museum of Art, Yangju City.
The "9th Yangju Hoeamsa Royal Festival 2026" will be held at Hoeamsa Temple Site, featuring on-site royal experience programs, performances, and a traditional marketplace, allowing visitors to engage with history and culture.
At Jangheung Wild Botanical Garden, visitors can enjoy the beautiful spring scenery, including a forest of pine trees over 100 years old and a variety of wildflowers. At the Jang Ucchin Museum of Art, Yangju City, guests can explore the works of Jang Ucchin, a leading figure in modern and contemporary Korean art.
The package includes round-trip train fare, connecting vehicle fees, participation and admission fees, and a guide fee.
This tourism product enhances accessibility to the Seoul metropolitan area by linking the Gyoeo Line and GTX-A, and serves as a tourism model that combines rail travel with visits to local attractions.
The city aims to utilize the Gyoeo Line as a tourism gateway through this railway tour package, simultaneously attracting festival visitors and boosting local consumption.
A Yangju City official stated, "With the resumption of the Gyoeo Line, we will continue to expand products that combine railways, festivals, and natural and cultural tourism resources."
