The new Korean name is 'AXIS IT Co., Ltd.' and the English name is 'AXIS IT Corporation.' The new name reflects the company's ambition to lead digital transformation as the axis of change and innovation. It also embodies the company’s future direction toward artificial intelligence and intelligent services.

Founded in 1996, AXIS IT (formerly Serin Information Technology) has been supporting Korea Zinc's digital transformation as its IT subsidiary. The company has operated IT infrastructure and advanced systems at major domestic sites, and has built global IT operational capabilities by supporting the group’s overseas subsidiaries.

Recently, AXIS IT has expanded its IT support scope in line with the group's global business growth by participating in Korea Zinc's 'Crucible Project' under construction in Clarksville, Tennessee, USA. Leveraging its accumulated experience in system development and operations, the company is strengthening its external business in infrastructure, work systems, and solutions.

Going forward, AXIS IT plans to focus its business on AI-based services and intelligent IT solutions.

An AXIS IT representative stated, "This name change is a strategic decision to respond to the rapidly changing technological landscape and to strengthen our foundation for future growth," adding, "Through our transformation into an AI-first company, we aim to support our customers' digital innovation."
